...to the agricultural and cattle festival

This morning we had the chance to go to an international agricultural and cattle festival. It took place just 5 minutes down the road from our place so we thought we would go check it out. When we first got there we went to see a cowgirl show off her gun shooting skills. I think we were all pretty impressed. After she finished they had two horses with riders playing "soccer". It was quite interesting to see how the horses "kicked" the ball. We left during this part as it dragged on too long. So then we went to check out the petting zoo and put Maddox on the pony ride. He did such a good job at going by himself. I told him it as okay and I would wait just outside the ring. He just said okay and went. As a kid I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have let my mom leave my side. Anyway, I was proud of him. We then went to check out a tent in which they were selling smaller animals like, rabbits, goats, pigs, birds, and chicks. I was a little shocked when Maddox touched the pig. He usually is a little cautious with animals but he dove right in. Before heading out we checked out the cows and also walked past the "Medieval" men and their horses. Considering we were going to turn around and head home when we saw the craziness of the parking lot we are all glad that we decided to stay. It was a good time! (Except for Landon as he wasn't feeling well and slept for pretty much the whole time in the stroller. :o( Thus the reason there are no pictures of my little guy)

...get dressed for naptime

Maddox decided one day this week that he needed to be "nice and cozy" (in his words) for nap time. So he found his pajamas and got dressed. You wouldn't be able to tell that it was nap time because he was so excited he started dancing around. He is so silly sometimes! He has been working really hard lately at getting himself dressed lately. It is quite interesting what he looks like sometimes. We have had the inside out underwear, backwards shorts, and then the total mismatched outfits. I am still so proud of him. He is getting so big!

This was the first time he picked out his own outfit! :o) (He was eating something at the time, thus the look on his face)

...and shoot water with Maddox

Grandma sent some goodies for the boys for Easter. Maddox had a good time gluing together foamies. I let him do the egg all by himself. I think he did a great job. I personally loved the bunny glasses. They are just too cute!  One of Maddox's favorite toys was the water shooter. Perfect gift for an almost 3 year old boy. We have now gone outside multiple times with a big cup of water for Maddox to fill up the water shooter and play. I quite enjoyed when he tried to shot it straight into the not realizing that it would come straight back down. hehe. It has provided lots of fun. So thanks Grandma!!

Up and over his head.
Took a couple times until he figured it out but he did.

Look closely and find the water shooter.

...and see Landon's first tooth

It has been a long time coming but it is finally here! It only took Landon 8 and 1/2 months for his first tooth to break through. He had been chewing on everything and anything. Lately his favorite things include ice, frozen mangoes, and frozen blueberries. I put them in his little teething net and he gets all excited and sucks on the net until there is absolutely nothing left. I tried to get a picture the first day that the tooth broke through but it isn't too obvious. I will be sure to post a picture once it is showing more.
I love the crazy eyes!
Double the fun!

Look no hands!

See it?!? hehe

..and build with Mega Blocks

Maddox has been growing in leaps and bounds lately. His imagination is incredible! Some of the things he has been up to lately is building garages, towers, and tunnels for his cars. At some point of practically everyday he will say to me "no peaking" and then he will bring me over to show me some block creation of his. He has one Mega Block set with about 30 pieces, so his creativity is limited, but I find it incredible in that what he lacks to make with blocks he uses his imagination to finish. Here is a garage he set up for all of his cars to fit. I just love watching his so serious in moving each piece to perfectly fit every car in. I hope that imagination only continues to grow and grow each day!

...visit abuela

This past week has been crazy. We had the visit from my brother on Monday and Tuesday then we took a four hour road trip on Wednesday night to visit Harold's abuela in Orlando. We stayed over night and headed back to Miami Thursday afternoon. We got to see Harold's abuela (grandma), as well as his Uncle and Aunt, two of his cousins, and three of his cousins children. It was nice to see everyone and we all enjoyed our short time with  the family. Abuelita is the name that we call Harold's grandma. We don't know when or if she will ever travel back to the Florida so we knew we had to go see her. She had never met Landon before and was so grateful that we came. I'm glad for the time that we spent with them and they got to spend with the boys.

Abuela bought some Easter gifts for the boys. Here you can see Landon enjoying an Easter egg...yum!

...Uncle Mike and Lisa!

This past week has been pretty hectic. My brother Mike came down for a visit. They were also here visiting his girlfriends nieces, Stephanie and Sophia. Maddox had such a great time. He loved having people stay at our house. The more people he can say "watch me" to the better. When they got here, it was a hot one, so we went for a swim. Maddox loved having "the girls", as he calls them, to play with. Later that night we barbecued and made cupcakes. The next day we woke up and did some shopping. Uncle Mike and Lisa totally spoiled the kids. I will have to post more pictures of all of his new toys that he has been playing with every second since they have left. Since they have left he has mentioned them every day. It was too short but it was good. We love you Uncle Mike and Lisa!
