I love when we can find everyday objects around the house and turn them into something new and exciting. He has always loved playing with kitchen gadgets. Some of his favorites are the tongs and the whisk (I came across this picture of him from when he was about a year old carrying the whisk around...so cute)! While I am cooking I usually let him help with pouring and mixing but if there is something he can't help with then he usually sits on the kitchen floor and does some of his own "cooking". He is going to make some girl happy one day with his cooking skills. Another day we were outside and he had found a balloon pump earlier that day. He was trying to figure out what he could do with it. He found if he filled a cup up with water and pumped air into the water he could make bubbles. Its just so cool to see the different things he will come up with when left to explore. The mind of a child is an AMAZING thing!
